Grant Writing SubcommitteeSome wonderful parents have formed a new Grant Writing subcommittee. This committee plays an integral part in gaining extra resources and funding for the P&C. We very much appreciate the amount of time and effort that these people put into helping out students.
Woolworths Community Grant

The P & C has been successful in receiving a Woolworths community grant. These funds will be used to purchase soccer goals and pads, and netball hoops for the school. Congratulations to the grant writing committee.
Hall and Library Facilities
The newest additions to Pallara State School are our multi purpose hall and our resource centre. Thanks to a government initiative, our community now has the option to meet locally in the hall. Our students enjoy using it on a daily basis and extra curricular activities are on the rise. The P&C can now host more school based activities and events, thanks to this spacious facility. The resource centre is home to our cosy library and music room, which students are always excited to be in.
Produce Garden is under way
We are setting up a produce gardening group at school to grow vegetables. The goal is to involve interested students in the planting, cultivating, preparing and presenting of the crops. Seasonal crops will be planted and used in the tuckshop. This will support the tuckshop's healthy eating policy and encourage smart food choices by our students.
With minimal funding and generous local support from residents and businesses, we now have 3 garden beds ready to plant. Seedlings will be going in before the next school holidays.
