Doolandella, Pallara and District
Residents Association (Inc)

The Association was initially formed in 1982 to force the Brisbane City Council and Queensland State Government to close the Willawong Liquid Waste facility.

Over the years it has found itself fighting for the rights of Pallara, Doolandella and Willawong residents on a large number of issues affecting the lifestyle of those suburbs.

One of the Association's greatest wins was the closure of the Willawong Liquid Waste Dump and the subsequent rehabilitation of the site.

Some members appeared before a Senate Committee inquiring into toxic waste disposal throughout Australia.
