The draft neighbourhood plan and maps outlining future development options for Pallara can now be viewed on the Brisbane City Council website.

The current draft proposes a waterway corridor classification on 58 properties along the Oxley Creek, The Anabranch and Blunder Creek (affecting Devries, Esky, Laxton, Ritchie, Sweets and Vied Roads and Landel and Wadeville Streets).

Not all locals (including those affected) are aware that the plan is now available. To view the plan, go to the Brisbane City Council website at the following link:
http://www.brisbane.qld.gov.au/planning-building/local-plans/south/lower-oxley-creek/LowerOxleyCreekSouth/index.htm.

If the link is not working go to the Council website and type in ‘neighbourhood planning’ into the search field. If you have further questions please contact Councillor Angela Owen-Taylor on ' 3131 7022 or email parkinson.ward@ecn.net.au.

About Pallara

Pallara is a beautiful leafy suburb south of Brisbane about 20 kms from the city. It is nestled between the suburbs of Forest Lake and Algester. About 250 families live on properties which tend to start from 4 acres in size. Some back onto Oxley Creek and others back on to The Anabranch and Blunder Creek.

People tend to live in Pallara for the bush, peace and quiet or to conduct their own small business from farming to earthworks.

2006 Census data
